Senior Software Engineer at Selux Diagnostics Inc.

Full time position to play a key role in developing database and web application solutions which will be critical to commercialize our product; reporting directly to principal software engineer, design and implement robust and secure local and cloud-hosted SQL server databases that will store results on-premises at customer installations and aggregated in the cloud from multiple installations; develop HTML and ASP.NET MVC web applications that provide our scientists with insight into data and results, and support visualization of advanced analytics such as antibiograms and advanced resistance patterns; interface with internal and external scientists to capture product requirements, and collaborate with other developers and engineers to produce robust and compelling commercial solutions; write quality code in C# using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE; develop restful web service interfaces that support communication between Selux instruments and internal database; utilize Microsoft web development (ASP.NET CORE or ASP.NET MVC) and modern web development platforms (HTML, JAVASCRIPT, and CSS); utilize responsive web development frameworks such as reactjs or angular and relational database queries (SQL) and systems (Microsoft SQL server); engage in collaborative software development using source code control systems (SVN, TFS or GIT), and application life cycle management (ALM) tools for tracking of requirements, issues, and testing; apply knowledge toward the development and documentation for FDA or other regulatory environments; build testable solutions via the development of unit tests.

Requires proven ability to write quality code in C# using Microsoft visual studio IDE; experience with Microsoft web development (ASP.NET ). Experience with modern web development platforms (HTML, JAVASCRIPT, or CSS). Software design pattern experience such as MVC. Experience with collaborative software development using source code control systems (SVN, TFS or GIT). Experience with application lifecycle management (ALM) tools for tracking of requirements, issues, and testing. Experience with development and documentation for FDA or other regulatory environments. Experience with relational database queries (SQL) and systems (Microsoft SQL server).

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computer or Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the medical device or other regulated CIS or Computer Engineering domain. Employer will accept a 3 year or 4 year bachelor's degree. Employer will also accept, in lieu of 3 or 4 year bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a masters degree with 3 years of experience.

Employee will work in Charlestown MA office at least 50% of time and may telecommute from anywhere in the US 50% of time.
